Doctor Who Infinity, a narrative-focused match-three puzzle game that disappeared from digital storefronts in 2022, has made a comeback on the Humble Bundle store priced at $12. The game was originally delisted when developer Tiny Rebel Games' licensing agreement with the BBC came to an end, making it unavailable for purchase for several years.
The game features an impressive roster of voice talent drawn from the Doctor Who television series. Michelle Gomez reprises her role as Missy, while Ingrid Oliver returns as Petronella Osgood, Katy Manning voices Jo Grant, and Richard Franklin plays Mike Yates. The cast also includes Bella Ramsey, known for her work in The Last of Us and Game of Thrones, who voices an original character named Freya created specifically for the game.
Gameplay revolves around match-three puzzle mechanics with characters and obstacles appearing directly on the game board. Players encounter familiar Doctor Who adversaries like the Daleks alongside Missy and various incarnations of the Doctor, while facing challenges including robots, bombs, firewalls, and time vortexes. The difficulty scales across different levels, with the developers emphasizing that the mechanics remain accessible to players of varying skill levels. The game is explicitly designed for adult Doctor Who enthusiasts and incorporates mature storytelling themes.
The game contains five complete stories spanning different Doctor incarnations. These include The Orphans of the Polyoptra, featuring the Third Doctor and Jo Grant in a World War 2 scenario; The Horror of Flat Holm, centered on the Fourth Doctor investigating Cybermen; The Lady of the Lake, where the Tenth Doctor and Rose confront an alien conflict; The Silent Streets of Barry Island, following the Eleventh Doctor through a mysterious plague; and The Dalek Invasion of Time, pitting the Twelfth Doctor against a new Dalek hybrid.

Critical reception proved mixed. Doctor Who Magazine praised the stories as among the finest Doctor Who narratives adapted to gaming, though the competitive landscape for Doctor Who games remains limited. Player reviews, however, revealed significant concerns. Before delisting, the game received a Mixed rating on Steam, with users criticizing the gameplay as tediously repetitive and noting that the story content lasted approximately 30 minutes. Even positive user reviews acknowledged the game felt boring despite acknowledging the quality of the underlying narratives.
Keys for the base game, individual episodes, or a complete edition are now available through Humble Bundle for redemption on Steam. Buyers can choose their preferred package based on their interest level.
