PlayPark has secured publishing rights to bring the anime fantasy RPG Azur Promilia to Southeast Asian players, marking a major expansion for the title developed by Manjuu Co., Ltd. The partnership covers Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and other regional markets, with PlayPark handling localisation, community management, payment systems, marketing and player support while Manjuu retains full creative control.

Azur Promilia is Manjuu's largest production to date, set on Promilia, a vast fantasy continent inhabited by multiple intelligent races including Furrians, Sapiens and High Elves. The world faces mounting crises as mysterious creatures called Vicious spread across the land, gravity weakens, and ancient secrets stir beneath the stars. Players assume the role of the "Starborn," an outsider chosen to confront these threats while uncovering the truth about their own origins. The journey unfolds alongside Symphoria, an elven guide, as players explore a world shaped by the core philosophy: "To pursue, to explore, until we return to the destination. To linger, to encounter, even if it shifts the course of shooting stars."
Central to the gameplay experience are creatures known as Kibo, which serve as both combat partners and daily companions. Over 200 Kibo species inhabit different corners of Promilia, each with distinct habitats, behaviours, abilities and temperaments. Players capture Kibo through battles using Stellar Cards and build bonds with them. Beyond combat, Kibo participate in production activities including mining, farming and smelting, becoming integral to players' daily routines. Named species revealed so far include Staray, Downybrinny, Cabbird, Bluda and Vespervamp, with local language names to be confirmed at launch.
Combat combines strategic depth with fluid action, allowing players to control up to three characters simultaneously, each paired with a Kibo partner. The system features ten main and sub attributes—Wind, Fire, Electric, Light and Dark among them—alongside melee, ranged and support character classes. Exploration remains completely unrestricted across a seamless map encompassing diverse environments from deep seas to skies and jungles. Players can run and fly without stamina limitations and ride Kibo for free travel. Beyond combat and exploration, the game emphasises homestead building, furnishing, planting, gathering and cooking, creating what Manjuu describes as "a completely free world to inhabit rather than to clear." The Southeast Asian version will launch on PC, iOS and Android with cross-platform progression, enabling players to continue their journey across devices using a single account.
PlayPark's commitment to the region extends beyond standard publishing. The company has established dedicated regional infrastructure ahead of launch, including community teams staffed by local ACG enthusiasts rather than generic social media managers. Payment integration supports Southeast Asian preferences with local methods beyond credit cards, while language support covers Simplified Chinese, English, Thai, Vietnamese and Indonesian for both in-game text and customer service. Voice-over options include Chinese, Japanese and English dubbing. PlayPark plans offline activities around regional conventions and community events to build engagement.
Quach Dong Quang, PlayPark's Chief Executive Officer, emphasised the publisher's approach: "Southeast Asia has followed anime and ACG titles for years, and has too often been served as a secondary market receiving a global build with a local label attached. Azur Promilia deserves better than that, and so do the players here. PlayPark has spent more than two decades operating online games in this region, and we intend to bring all of it to this title—service in local languages, local payment methods, and community teams based in the markets they serve."
For Manjuu, the partnership secures an operator with proven regional infrastructure capable of supporting a live-service title across multiple markets, languages, currencies and both mobile and PC platforms. A closed beta test for Southeast Asia is in development, with pre-registration details to be announced at a later date. Official Azur Promilia Southeast Asia channels launched across Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms, with Discord and Reddit channels being established. No Southeast Asian launch date has been announced. PlayPark brings over two decades of game publishing experience in the region, with long-term operations of titles like MapleStorySEA, while Manjuu is known for the successful Azur Lane franchise and continues expanding into animation, comics and merchandise alongside game development.
