MapleStory has deployed a substantial update addressing skill balance issues, introducing challenging new boss difficulties, and expanding quality-of-life features across the game.

The patch includes follow-up adjustments to September's skill overhaul, targeting classes that did not perform as intended in live combat. Dark Knight, Ark, and Len received refinements to smooth out their damage output, while numerical tweaks were applied to Kain, Hoyoung, and Kaiser. The studio also resolved persistent bugs affecting toggle skills and reset Training Grounds records for affected classes. Players in those classes received HEXA Matrix Reset Scrolls to redistribute their builds following the changes.
Two top-tier bosses now feature Extreme difficulty variants. Extreme Limbo and Extreme Baldrix maintain the same entry requirements as their standard versions but introduce new attack patterns and heightened gauge management challenges. Baldrix's authority pattern duration has been adjusted, and certain patterns across existing difficulties have been revised. Clearing these new modes rewards two types of Exceptional Hammers—Pocket and Pendant variants. A First Clear Mission runs from October 23 at 19:00 for Extreme Limbo and 20:00 for Extreme Baldrix. Additionally, Extreme Kaling's HP was reduced, and Intense Power Crystal pricing was adjusted for both Extreme Kaling and Hard Jupiter.
System improvements span multiple areas. MapleTalk underwent a complete revamp adding cross-world chat functionality, which requires players to designate a representative character. Soul Effects can now be toggled independently for the player and other characters. The Ability Circulator received a new user interface, and Maple Home gained town convenience features like Quick Move alongside a new Illustrated Furniture system. Players can now receive Highest Grade Crystals directly from AbsoLab and Arcane Umbra boxes. Future updates will expand daily quest experience rewards to twice per world.
Several events are running concurrently. A follow-up to the Visitors of the Argo event continues from September, while Personal Burning's Personal Growth Missions expanded from Stage 30 to Stage 45, with reduced coin and experience rewards starting at Stage 31. The Detective Yeti's Suspicious Magnifying Glass hunting event provides substantial experience through field drops and tradeable items, with usage limits of 10 times daily per character for the magnifying glass and 3 times for Detective Yeti's variant. Monsters summoned through Detective Yeti's item do not benefit from bonus experience rate buffs. Momentum Pass PLUS allows one-time purchases of Premium and Prime Pass across September and October.
Maple Escape, an escape room-themed event, rewards cosmetic items including Damage Skins and Medals upon completion, with tickets distributed via raffle. A Hangul Day event includes visual updates to Elite Monsters and Runes, with the Moa Moa Medal reward claim requirement adjusted to 200,000 points.
World Leap transfers are active from October 22 through November 5 at 10:00 AM. Regular worlds cannot transfer into Scania or Luna, though transfers between other regular worlds are permitted. Eos and Helios can only transfer between each other. Scania and Luna channels expanded from 40 to 60, while Zenith, Union, Elysium, Red, Arcane, and Nova channels were reduced from 30 to 16.
Additional improvements include a 90-day Boutique Title option, Fusion Anvil updates allowing Overall appearances on Tops, and world-shared slots for Master Label items. The 2nd Golden Hands Awards runs from October 22 through November 11, featuring categories for Hair, Face, Outfit Sets, Pets, and Sol Hecate Skins.
