Seven Knights Re:Birth is partnering with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba for a major collaboration event beginning October 1, introducing four legendary-tier heroes available to all players at no cost. Tanjiro Kamado and Zenitsu Agatsuma will debut first, with Water Hashira Giyu Tomioka and Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho following on October 15. Players who engage regularly throughout the event period can unlock all four heroes, their signature weapons, and a Nezuko Kamado companion pet through standard gameplay.
Executive Producer Son Geun-hee emphasized that making the collaboration heroes freely obtainable reflects the studio's goal of attracting new players to the game. The development team designed each character's combat mechanics to mirror their distinctive abilities from the source material, creating distinct playstyles that cater to different battle scenarios.
Tanjiro and Zenitsu both function as Attack-type combatants but operate through fundamentally different strategies. Tanjiro excels as a comeback dealer whose power surges when his health drops critically low. Once he survives a dangerous moment, his offensive and defensive capabilities both increase, allowing him to shift momentum in extended fights. The developers tailored his kit for both player-versus-environment and competitive multiplayer modes, emphasizing his ability to dominate late-game phases.
Zenitsu specializes in burst damage and eliminating priority targets. His skillset enables rapid consecutive single-target strikes that can quickly remove key enemy units and turn the tide of battle. Skill animations featuring his signature Thunderclap and Flash techniques showcase his characteristic speed and power, positioning him as a specialist for neutralizing threats before they become problematic.

Giyu arrives as a Universal-type hero whose strength builds through cycling between offensive and defensive states. He accumulates power both when attacking and when absorbing damage, and meeting certain conditions triggers an empowered form. High damage reduction allows him to sustain enemy assaults while building stacks, making him increasingly effective as battles extend. The developers designed him for prolonged engagements, with skill animations emphasizing flowing water movements.
Shinobu functions as a Magic-type character who applies poison damage over time rather than delivering single massive hits. Her mechanics center on stacking and spreading poison effects, reflecting her original-work trait of compensating for physical limitations through toxins. The development team implemented a poison-stacking system that resists standard debuff removal, forcing opponents to manage poison buildup throughout combat. Her skill names and animations emphasize graceful movements and dance-like motions.
The collaboration includes trial stages where players can test heroes before acquiring them, with Tanjiro and Zenitsu trials available in Week 1 and Shinobu and Giyu trials opening in Week 3. Each stage offers four difficulty levels with scaling rewards. Upper Rank demons Akaza and Doma from the anime serve as bosses, with Akaza appearing in Week 1 and Doma in Week 3. Additionally, a tower-climbing mode called Trial of Infinity features both demons as bosses on the 5th and 10th floors respectively, following a structure similar to the existing Tower of Trial.
The collaboration lobby features a dynamic day-and-night cycle synchronized to players' device clocks, creating visual variety tied to real-world time. The developers implemented this feature to provide fresh aesthetics during regular login sessions. Further event details will be released through official announcements and in-game notices as the collaboration approaches.
