Cricut has introduced two new machines aimed at making custom sticker production accessible to home crafters: the StickerPix Print and the StickerPix Print + Cut. The announcement marks the company's first venture into combining printing and cutting capabilities in a single device.
The StickerPix Print is the more compact option, measuring 7.8 by 5 by 3.5 inches, and handles 4-by-6-inch photo paper or Cricut's pre-cut sticker sheets. The larger Print + Cut model measures 8 by 11.3 by 4.1 inches and accommodates 4-by-7-inch sticker sheets and 4-by-6-inch photo paper. The key distinction is that the Print + Cut model includes cutting functionality, allowing users to create custom shapes rather than being restricted to Cricut's preset sticker designs.
Both machines employ dye-sublimation technology, which uses heat to transfer dye directly onto the printing surface. The devices then apply a protective laminate coating that resists water, scratches, and fading. This approach differs from other Cricut machines, which typically require a separate inkjet printer and laminate sheets to achieve comparable durability. For users focused solely on printing stickers and photos, these new models could reduce the equipment footprint needed.
One limitation is that both machines produce kiss-cut stickers, meaning the designs remain attached to the backing sheet after cutting. Traditional die-cut stickers, by contrast, separate completely from their backing during the cutting process. Users will need to access the Cricut Design Space software via smartphone or computer to operate either machine, and the company's Cricut Access subscription service provides access to additional templates and discounts.
The StickerPix Print starts at $169, while the Print + Cut model is priced at $299. Both machines ship with sticker sheets, photo paper, and an ink cartridge included.
