Goddess of Victory: Nikke has introduced a new character, Sin: Swift Bunny, a Water-element DPS attacker that addresses a long-standing gap in the game's roster. As a Burst III Attacker with SR weapon type, the character arrives at a critical moment when players have struggled to field multiple Water-focused squads for challenging endgame content.
Water-element characters in Nikke have historically suffered from limited DPS options despite featuring some powerful support units. While the roster includes strong ace cards like Snow White: Heavy Arms and Dorothy: Serendipity, the scarcity of dedicated Water damage dealers has created operational bottlenecks, particularly in Solo Raid modes where players must manage multiple squads simultaneously. Sin: Swift Bunny directly addresses this shortage by providing a viable Water DPS option for raids that exploit Water weaknesses.
The character shares several mechanical similarities with Guilty: Mighty Bunny, whose recruitment banner launched earlier. Both operate with a dual-mode system that requires maintaining a full charge for at least one second to toggle between Normal Mode and Defense-Ignoring Mode. A critical detail for squad composition: switching modes on either character automatically switches the paired bunny character as well, requiring careful coordination when building teams.

Sin's Normal Mode emphasizes critical hit scaling, substantially increasing both critical rate and critical damage to maximize output when landing critical strikes. Her normal attack buff applies across both modes, providing consistent baseline damage regardless of which mode is active. However, Normal Mode alone may underperform compared to alternative setups in many team compositions. The mode shines primarily when facing enemies with low defense values and when no defense-ignoring buffers are present in the squad.
Defense-Ignoring Mode becomes significantly more powerful when paired with dedicated support characters like Flora and Takina. In these compositions, Sin: Swift Bunny is expected to excel, particularly in upcoming Solo Raids designed around defense-ignoring mechanics. This specialized role means the character functions best as a dedicated DPS for specific raid scenarios rather than as a universally applicable damage dealer.
Beyond Solo Raids, Sin's area-of-effect Burst ability provides utility in wave-clearing scenarios found in standard stages and Missilis Tower. This versatility extends to player-versus-player modes, where her Normal Mode AoE Burst offers value despite variance introduced by critical hit chance. A recommended team composition pairs her with Moran, Guilty: Mighty Bunny, Flora, and Takina, with Flora positioned between the two DPS units to distribute buffs from both adjacent allies.
Recruitment priority depends on individual roster composition and gameplay focus. Players preparing for Water-weakness Solo Raids with existing support buffers should prioritize pulling Sin: Swift Bunny. However, those prioritizing general roster strength may find other releases more valuable. Since Sin becomes available in the standard recruitment pool after her banner concludes, players can target her through the Wishlist system, making it reasonable to save premium currency and vouchers for future character releases.
