Capcom's online membership service has suffered a security breach exposing personal data for millions of users. The incident compromised approximately 11.7 million records, including email addresses, IP addresses, dates of birth, gender information, geographic location, and account nicknames. While 196 user passwords were changed without authorization, the company has since reset them. Capcom confirmed that financial information remained secure and was not accessed during the breach. The publisher stated it is investigating the full scope of the incident and will contact affected users individually. Users are advised to change their passwords associated with Capcom ID accounts as a precaution.
