Rebel Wolves' vampire role-playing game The Blood of Dawnwalker has surpassed one million copies sold globally within its opening three days, the studio announced over the weekend. The achievement marks a strong commercial start for the title from the team of former Witcher developers.
The game drew over 70,000 concurrent players on Steam during its launch window, a significant figure for a single-player experience. Rebel Wolves thanked the community for their support and engagement with the release.
Shortly before launch, the developer had revealed that the console versions would not feature a 60-frames-per-second performance mode at release, a decision that drew player feedback. However, Rebel Wolves responded by committing additional testing resources to the feature. The team confirmed that performance mode will now be available on day one for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, citing successful test results that gave them confidence in the implementation.
Reviews have been positive, with critics noting the game's willingness to experiment with genre conventions. One assessment awarded it four out of five stars, praising it as an RPG that takes creative risks and largely succeeds in its ambitions.
