Smilegate has outlined a series of updates for its MMORPG Eclipse: The Awakening, introducing hunting ground improvements, equipment rebalancing, and cross-server guild competition scheduled across October and November.
The first phase of changes arrives on October 14, focusing on increasing player rewards and streamlining progression. Gold acquisition will be enhanced across dungeons, with particularly generous boosts to inter-server dungeons and designated hotspot areas. A new board game-style event called Dodor's Adventure will launch the same day, offering players the opportunity to accumulate approximately 50 million gold through repeated playthroughs.
Equipment drop rates are being substantially revised. Field bosses will now guarantee drops of at least three equipment types, while guild bosses will provide at least two. Dungeon boss loot pools are expanding to four equipment types. The likelihood of obtaining Hero-grade or higher equipment from field bosses will increase, and the daily boss Laserien will receive a significant boost to its drop rates. Three specific bosses—Tulkan, Balakhaze, and Cassiel—will guarantee one Hero-grade equipment drop per encounter. Guild bosses will have their threshold for rare drops lowered by two stages, and Stigmata rewards will also be increased.
Hunting ground accessibility is being improved to reduce progression friction. Dragon's Sanctuary will lower its entry level requirement by three levels while increasing experience rewards, narrowing the gap between it and the Land of Origin. Hotspot monsters across Eternal Land of Origin, Dragon's Sanctuary, and Celestial Ruins will have their health pools reduced and experience gains increased. A mini-boss will be added to Celestial Ruins in early November to provide an intermediate challenge before players face the main boss, Cassiel.
Boss spawn times are being standardized to occur after 9:00 PM starting October 14. Laserien will spawn daily at 9:00 PM on the 2nd floor of the Altar of Blood Seal. Tulkan will shift from Sunday at 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM on the 5th floor of Eternal Land of Origin, while Balakhaze moves from Saturday at 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM on the 5th floor of Dragon's Sanctuary. Cassiel will change from Friday at 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM in the weekly dungeon. The Abyss spawn cycle is also being compressed: Baritan will cycle every 4 hours instead of 8, Eldar every 8 hours instead of 15, and Kastian every 12 hours instead of 20. Level brackets will be adjusted to 50, 65, and 80, with the highest bracket receiving stat reductions except for health increases to broaden reward opportunities.
World Boss participation rewards will include a new item called the Horn of Dawn, which can be used in the Guild Fortress to summon named monsters, Golden Sheep, and a Dawn Boss at low probability. The Dawn Boss features lower health and rewards compared to standard field bosses. Quality-of-life improvements include a revised preset selection system for tabbed content like Tablet and Potential, allowing individual preset choices per tab rather than unified changes. Balance adjustments for Unique-grade equipment options are also planned.
Cross-server guild competition launches on October 28 as the centerpiece of the month's content. This weekly competitive mode pits representative guilds from each server against one another, with neutral guilds able to contribute to server scores through weekly missions. The competition structure spans multiple phases: preliminaries run Monday through Friday, combining daily mission rankings to determine guild and server standings. Saturday features a selection match where the top three guilds compete to capture the conquest battle center and secure server representation. Finals occur the same day with representative guilds from three servers competing, with final rankings combining both results. Sunday serves as a rest period. Additional October content includes new side quests on October 21, a Halloween-themed event, new character skins, and a server transfer feature.

November will bring further quality-of-life enhancements. The Exchange Market's multi-select purchase limit will expand to 10 items, with 8 displayed on screen. Item collection improvements will allow filtering without enhancement value restrictions. Mobile virtual d-pad size expansion is under review, and character creation restrictions will continue to be relaxed during maintenance. Boss zone teleportation will be adjusted to prevent direct entry into boss rooms in a single move. These announcements were made during a 60-minute developer livestream on October 13 featuring CM Park Ga-young and Lead Producer Sangmoon Lee from developer NPIXEL.
