Pearl Abyss has released a promotional video for Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, the first major expansion for its action RPG Crimson Desert. The short video showcases underwater diving mechanics, including exploration with pets, a new ship system, and the ability to ride ocean sunfish as aquatic mounts.
Charting the Unknown was initially announced during Sony's State of Play presentation in September. The expansion centers on maritime exploration, allowing players to sail custom ships across the ocean to discover uncharted islands, submerged ruins, and hidden treasures.
The DLC was originally scheduled for October 16 but has been delayed by two weeks. Pearl Abyss cited the need for additional development time to ensure a more stable and polished experience at launch.

Charting the Unknown launches as a digital-only release on October 30 across multiple platforms. It carries a price tag of 27,800 won and is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
