Boox has announced three new E Ink devices running Android 16 with built-in Google Play Store access, expanding its lineup of digital readers and note-taking tablets.
The centerpiece is the Boox Palma 3, a pocket-sized reader featuring a 6.13-inch HD E Ink screen with dual-tone front lighting. A major upgrade over previous generations, the device now includes an anodized aluminum frame instead of plastic casing and supports the Boox InkSense Plus stylus for annotating books and writing notes that sync to the cloud. The reader packs 128GB of internal storage expandable to 2TB via microSD card, making it capable of holding extensive libraries. A 3,950mAh battery provides several days of reading time per charge, though battery life will decrease with frequent use of the integrated 16MP rear camera, which includes a flash for document scanning. The device also features dual microphones for voice memos and speech-to-text functionality. The Palma 3 will launch at $320 in black or white, undercutting the previous Palma 2 Pro by $60. The stylus is sold separately for $46.
Boox also introduced the Note Air6 C, a 10.3-inch tablet with a color E Ink display designed for reading and annotation without switching between devices. A new Dual Notes feature allows users to annotate two documents simultaneously side by side. The tablet supports the Boox Pen3 stylus and includes an optional keyboard cover that attaches via pogo pins. Pricing starts at $580 without the keyboard or $657 with it included.
Rounding out the announcement is the Note Mini C, an 8.52-inch color E Ink device aimed at mobile professionals. It features a fingerprint-enabled power button and includes stylus support. The tablet can run enterprise applications including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Slack, and OneDrive. The Note Mini C is listed as available soon for $550.
All three devices are now listed on Boox's website, though the Palma 3 and Note Mini C have not yet become available for purchase.
