Scorchhowl is an early-game companion available to players in Aniimo, but trainers seeking a more formidable version should pursue the Thunderstorm variant, which offers both enhanced power and a distinctive appearance.
The Thunderstorm form of Scorchhowl can be found in Beast Fang Ridge. Players should look for a storm cloud icon on their map within that region. If no storm is currently visible, adjusting the time of day will alter the weather conditions and may cause a storm to appear. Additionally, trainers should watch for a blue, sparkling Aniimo logo on the map, which indicates a special spawn location. This symbol can denote either a Prismana or a weather-form creature, though it does not pinpoint the exact location of the variant.
Once a storm is active in Beast Fang Ridge, the next step involves following lightning strikes to the ground. The Thunderstorm Scorchhowl will spawn where lightning strikes occur. When found, players can either engage the creature in battle to improve their catch rate or attempt a direct capture using a high-level Aniipod for a more reliable result.

For players who have already caught a Thunderstorm Scorchhowl but wish to obtain one with better stats, Aniimo allows form changes through Morph Orbs. These items cost 300 Glimmer each and can be purchased from the in-game Store menu. To change an existing Scorchhowl into its Thunderstorm form, select the creature, click the exclamation point tab in the upper right corner, and choose Change Form. If Thunderstorm is not automatically selected, use the arrow next to the form image to cycle through available options.
One important limitation exists: Morph Orbs cannot be used to transform creatures into Prismana form, regardless of whether a player has previously caught that variant. This restriction ensures certain forms remain exclusive to direct encounters in the wild.
