SEGA Publishing Korea has announced the complete Season 2 lineup for its racing title Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, detailing six collaboration DLC packs alongside new gameplay features and significant price reductions.
Season 2 launches November 4, kicking off with the Godzilla collaboration arriving between November 2026 and March 2027. The pack introduces three monster-themed vehicles: the Godzilla Cruiser as a Power-type machine, the Mothra Surf as a Boost-type racer, and the King Ghidorah Coupe. A new track called Godzilla Escape will accompany the vehicles.
Following Godzilla, the Evangelion Pack releases in January 2027, bringing characters Rei Ayanami and Asuka Langley Shikinami as playable racers. Three machines themed after Evangelion Unit-00, EVA-01, and EVA-02 will be included. Between April and August 2027, two additional packs roll out sequentially: the Virtual Sanrio Puroland collaboration and the SEGALAND pack. The Sanrio partnership features Hello Kitty and Kuromi as racers, with a track recreating the actual theme park and appearances from characters like Cinnamoroll, My Melody, and Pompompurin. The SEGALAND pack showcases a course designed as a theme park recreation of SEGA's iconic arcade games, featuring vehicles inspired by Virtua Fighter, After Burner, and OutRun.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Pack and Persona Pack conclude the Season 2 DLC schedule between September and December 2027. The Persona collaboration spans three titles: Persona 3 Reload, Persona 4 Revival, and Persona 5 Royal, though specific details remain forthcoming. Beyond paid DLC, free updates will introduce Aigis from Persona 3 Reload and Bayonetta as new racers, plus a McLaren Racing partnership adding a dedicated machine and special-edition Sonic variant.
Season 2 introduces the Duel mode, a free 1v1 competitive option playable online or offline where racers view opponent equipment before competing. The mode features a Duel Dash system that charges over time or through item usage, with increased charge rates for trailing players to enable comebacks. The Gadget System expands with a new Superslot mechanic allowing seven total gadget slots instead of the previous number, alongside 15 new gadgets. Additional improvements include DLC characters appearing as AI opponents and extended Festa event durations.
Pricing adjustments accompany the Season 2 announcement. Standard Edition versions across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC drop from 79,800 won to 44,800 won, while the Digital Deluxe Edition falls from 99,800 won to 69,800 won. Nintendo Switch Standard Edition also reaches 44,800 won, and the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition decreases from 89,800 won to 44,800 won. Season Pass 2 purchasers receive bonus decals and machines inspired by SEGA's legacy consoles. Players owning both Season Pass 1 and 2 unlock the racer Super Shadow, the dedicated machine Super Dark Flare, and additional decals as exclusive rewards.
