Grand Theft Auto 6 has been classified for adult audiences only by South Korea's Game Content Rating Board, clearing the way for official distribution in the country.

The private sector board made the determination following a review process that began after rating responsibilities for PC and console titles transferred from the government-affiliated Game Rating and Administration Committee in early November 2025. The decision marks a significant test case for the newly restructured review system, given the game's high international profile.
The classification reflects the game's depiction of intense violence, explicit sexual content, and drug use. South Korea has applied inconsistent standards to mature content in the past—GTA 5 received an adults-only rating upon its 2013 release, while the visual novel Danganronpa V3 was denied classification entirely in 2017 over concerns about anti-social themes.
GTA 6 launches globally on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
