Nintendo has announced that its digital storefront and online subscription service will become available to players in the Philippines starting November 10, 2026, marking the end of a long wait for local gamers.
The company revealed the news on October 26, 2026. Both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 will support the new regional eShop, allowing Filipino players to purchase and download games, additional content, and subscriptions directly through an official local platform.
Previously, Philippine gamers had no official way to buy digital titles and were forced to create accounts registered to other countries, typically the United States or Japan, to access the eShop. The local launch removes this barrier and provides a legitimate purchasing option.
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will gain access to online multiplayer functionality, a library of classic games, and cloud save storage through the Philippine service.
A significant detail remains unclear: Nintendo has not yet disclosed what prices will apply to games and services in the Philippines or whether the company will offer region-specific pricing. Filipino players will need to wait until launch day to learn how costs compare with other markets.
This expansion follows Nintendo's earlier rollout across Southeast Asia, having introduced its digital services to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand in November 2025.
