PAX Australia will return to the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre next month with an extensive lineup of playable games spanning major releases and indie titles.
Sega is bringing four titles to the event. Players will have the chance to try Total War: Warhammer 40,000 across three different scenarios, alongside Alien: Isolation 2, Persona 4 Revival, and Stranger Than Heaven, a noir-themed prequel in the Yakuza franchise. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's multiplayer mode will also be available for hands-on play ahead of its October 23 release date.
Square Enix's booth will feature Final Fantasy 14 playable on Switch 2, where attendees can also create a themed bracelet and take a commemorative photo. The publisher is hosting a panel with the game's localization director and global community producer, who will discuss behind-the-scenes development while participating in a hot sauce challenge. A special showcase will provide an early look at Final Fantasy 7 Revelation.
Ubisoft is organizing multiple community-focused activities across dedicated esports stages. These include competitive Rainbow Six Siege tournaments, an Assassin's Creed sea shanty singalong, a cosplay runway competition, and a Just Dance-Along event.

The event runs from October 9 to 11, with badges available through the official website. The PAX Rising indie showcase will feature more than 90 independent games available for play. The full schedule offers additional activities and exhibitor information for attendees planning their visit.
