Graveyard Keeper 2 regularly delivers new bodies for burial, but not all of them meet your graveyard's standards. Corpses marked with red skulls can damage your burial ground's reputation if interred without improvement, making it essential to know your disposal options.
The most straightforward approach is cremation. After unlocking the Body Places I technology, you can construct a Crematorium I in your morgue using six bricks and six bronze details. Cremating a body yields a Burial Certificate, which you can sell to Januarius at the village tavern for profit—a practical solution that provides compensation for unwanted remains.

If you prefer a quicker method without reward, the river offers an alternative. Simply carry the problematic corpse to the waterway adjacent to your graveyard and select the option to dispose of it there. This approach eliminates the body immediately but provides no Burial Certificate or other compensation, making it purely a cleanup solution.

Before deciding a body's fate, perform an autopsy first. This procedure can remove red skulls and potentially make the corpse suitable for burial. If the autopsy doesn't improve the body sufficiently, you can then proceed with cremation or river disposal based on your preference.

Later in the game, after encountering the Plague Doctor, a fourth option becomes available: converting unsuitable corpses into zombies. Unlike traditional burials, red skulls actually enhance zombie creation, transforming problematic remains into useful workers capable of handling various tasks around your graveyard. This endgame solution offers a unique way to repurpose bodies that would otherwise be discarded, adding another layer to the game's corpse management system.
