Dota 2 can now launch on Android devices through DroidDeck, an open-source compatibility tool, though the game remains far from fully playable at this stage.

DroidDeck leverages Valve's ARM64 Steam client, Proton, and FEX translation technology to run PC games directly on compatible Android hardware without cloud streaming. The project represents a growing effort to untether PC titles from their original platforms and bring them to mobile devices.
Testers successfully booted Dota 2 on a POCO F9 Pro and navigated through the initial menus, reaching the hero selection screen. Progress halted there, as an error appeared when attempting to enter an actual match sequence.
While the achievement of getting Dota 2 to launch and reach hero selection marks an encouraging proof of concept, significant work remains before the game becomes playable on Android. The tool demonstrates how compatibility layers are gradually expanding PC gaming access across different devices.
Developers continue refining DroidDeck with hopes that future updates will resolve the remaining issues preventing full match gameplay. The open-source project is available on GitHub for those interested in testing or contributing to its development.
