Studio Nemo's extraction action RPG Void Diver: Escape from the Abyss will launch its closed beta test on November 2, running through November 16. The two-week testing phase will accommodate up to 1,000 players, with applications accepted through Google Forms until all Steam keys are distributed. Selected testers will gain access to a dedicated Discord channel where they can claim their beta key starting at 11:00 AM on November 2, with each person limited to one key.
Progress made during the closed beta will not transfer to either the existing Steam demo or the final release version. However, players who complete a feedback survey by November 18 will receive an exclusive name decoration as a reward for their participation.

The beta build introduces Mumyeong, a new staff-wielding melee bruiser character unlocked after completing a Lounge chain quest at Level 5. Five characters, including Mumyeong, receive exclusive traits and mastery levels. The campaign has been extended through the final section of Chapter 2, while Chapter 3 adds the Submerged Place, a new area featuring a flooded train station and Oriental-inspired architecture. Difficulty settings have been restructured, converting the previous Easy, Normal, and Hard tiers into Normal, Hard, and Severe, with a new Easy option added below.
Combat and progression systems have undergone significant changes. A new mechanic called Grit allows players to recover after falling into despair if certain conditions are met. Equipment now features random options and set items to enhance customization. Gamepad players gain access to lock-on targeting and quick-slot item swapping, while auto-aim assistance has been improved across the board.
The Lounge management hub now includes VIP trust systems, staff requests, character training, item display options, and a Doppelganger mini-game. The artifact negotiation system has shifted from an attempt-limited approach to a Suspicion Gauge mechanic. Additional quality-of-life improvements include item locking, in-game notification pop-ups, and enhanced lighting throughout all areas.
Studio Nemo emphasized in its developer notes that the beta will focus on verifying whether players maintain an appropriate sense of tension and progression throughout their experience. In Void Diver, players manage the BALUSHA antique shop, dispatching Divers into otherworldly dungeons rendered in high-quality pixel art to recover artifacts. The game supports up to three-player cooperative play and includes Korean language support. The full release is scheduled for January 2027.
